Our Custom Finishes service gives designers the freedom to create bespoke finishes that bring their design vision to life. 

This begins with the selection of a suitable physical sample. This should be a representative piece of metal, ironmongery or another appropriate material that demonstrates the finish you wish to achieve.

Once you have identified your preferred sample, we encourage you to arrange a meeting with one of our Business Development Managers who guide you through the process, helping to establish a clear understanding of your expectations before the sample is submitted for in-house assessment.

Following the assessment, we produce three prototypes for different purposes within the development and approval process. 

Customer approval sample: The first prototype is supplied to you for review and approval. This allows you to assess the proposed finish against your original sample and confirm that it meets your design expectations before proceeding.

Finishing team reference: The second prototype is retained by our finishing team as a working reference. It provides a practical benchmark for the agreed finish, helping the team understand the required appearance when producing the specified electrical accessories.

In-house master sample: The third prototype is retained at Focus SB as a master reference. This provides a record of the developed finish for future reference and helps support consistency when managing subsequent requirements.

Our Custom Finishes service is available across the following faceplate styles: Ambassador Classic, Ambassador Square, True Edge, Sheraton and Renaissance.
