Prism is specified for Vanessa Brady’s London home

Our Prism clear faceplate is specified by Dr Vanessa Brady OBE for the interiors of her luxury London home.

The Founder and CEO of the Society of British and International Interior Design (SBID) and prestigious SBID Awards, who visited our factories in March this year comments on her approach to interior design and the reason Prism is her top choice for projects: “I like classic design, so it is comfortable, not a 'show-off’ environment. I have used Prism for many years in my projects and in my own house. I have just fitted several of them and I can’t stop thinking about the care and detail that is created at the workshops.”

Dr Brady adds: “Other suppliers used throughout were Dulux paints, Karndean flooring, Sub-Zero fridge freezer and wine fridge, and Quooker hot tap. It’s very simple but layered so the sockets must be discreet and that’s the essence of Prism.” 

During her visit to our main factory in March, Vanessa viewed Prism in manufacture, including its bevelled plate edges being expertly flame polished by our Senior Specials Machinist, Damian Hoey. When asked how important she thinks it is for designers to see and feel product components up close, she observed: “Damian, who makes the covers, told me how he was personally not satisfied with the way the machines finished the edges so he devised a solution and showed me how he created a piece of machinery.”

Vanessa was struck by “how everyone seems to be a relation or husband of another employee. It truly is a warm and protected environment where everyone is cared for and cares for each other. It seemed that almost everyone through the entire business supply chain had found a solution to a problem when there wasn’t an off the shelf solution available”.
