MGM Hotel Cotai, Macau select Focus SB

The UK manufacturer and its diverse collection of wiring accessories attracted the attention of developer MGM China Holdings at this year’s Expo Build construction and hospitality event in Shanghai, resulting in Focus SB being the only British wiring accessories manufacturer to be specified for the opulent Skyloft interiors crowning the top of the eye-catching luxurious MGM COTAI hotel resort. 

The design inspiration for the five star hotel, MGM’s second property on the Cotai strip, is believed to have been based on stacks of patterned Chinese jewellery boxes. Recently, the project swept the board at the prestigious Asia Property Awards 2017, winning an impressive six awards in both regional and local categories, making MGM COTAI the most prolific award-winner in resort development and architectural design within a highly competitive arena. 

Set to open on January 29th 2018, this marks the second awards win for the MGM COTAI, with the impressive hotel resort already achieving recognition as the largest property and first private sector project to achieve the China Green Building (Macau) Design Label Certification in 2016.

Focus SB holds the unique position of being the only UK manufacturer licensed to export switch-plates to China, and this signature project is testament to the company’s official launch of the highest quality electrical wiring accessories into China’s high-end construction market.
