Apprentice achieves a distinction

Congratulations to one of our hard-working warehouse apprentices, Alfie Williams, who has successfully passed his Department for Education IfATE (Institute for Apprenticeships and Technical Education) Supply Chain Warehouse Operative Level 2 qualification with Distinction.
Last August Alfie also gained his forklift licence as part of his ongoing training and in November 2023 he was delighted to join all his colleagues across the company in meeting HRH The Princess Royal during our King’s Awards for International Trade winner trophy presentation here in St Leonards-on-Sea.
An advocate for apprenticeships and ongoing staff training opportunities, our Managing Director Gary Stevens began his career as a technical apprentice, leaving school at 16. He recalls his first day during an interview on our blog post ‘Spotlight on Apprenticeships’. Mr Stevens has never forgotten his apprenticeship roots nor lost his passion for British manufacturing and nurturing young talent into the industry, overseeing the introduction of a successful apprenticeship scheme into the company.
