Electrical wiring accessories to impress at 100% Design 2016

Focus SB Ltd® is delighted to be taking part in The London Design Festival, and promises to wow visitors at this year’s 100% Design with a stylish presentation of sockets and switches at stand E758.

Last year saw the company exhibit switch-plates on a fun seaside style stand, attracting interiors industry professionals seeking to find out more about Focus SB and its innovative sockets and switches. In contrast for 2016, visitors to the company’s stand can expect something at the other end of the spectrum, and will discover minimalist, design-led sophistication at this influential ‘Experience’ themed event.

With all products manufactured and hand-finished in the UK, Focus SB is the only electrical accessory manufacturer to boast total control of the manufacturing process in-house at its East Sussex facility. The company works closely with designers and installers every step of the way, and its in-house engineering and finishing facility enables the company to be flexible and reactive to customer demands, especially for bespoke products.

Focus SB's in-house production facilities include a paint shop for the perfect painted finish, where metal plates can be sprayed to match any RAL colour. Design services include an expert CAD team, providing fresh designs for a completely unique accessory. Unique to Focus SB, electrophoretic lacquering of polished brass plates provides durability, offering a hard wearing finish that ensures its products will keep their appearance over time. Superior products with trimless design feature crisp edges and clean lines, and offer more metal plate with less plastic trim. Focus SB is the only UK manufacturer able to match its rocker and dolly switches to its plate finishes.

Product innovations have seen Focus SB develop and manufacture the UK’s only totally flush-fit faceplate, the Focus SB Smoothie®, in collaboration with the forward-thinking designers at SHH architecture and interior design practice. The company’s USB socket is one of few products in the UK with dedicated amperage for faster simultaneous charging of tablet and mobile ‘phone. Focus SB’s energy-saving hotel key card switches are rated at 32 amps, where many alternatives are not.
