3D printer aids prototype design and development
Focus SB announces its latest investment in an advanced 3D printer, enabling the company to print rapid prototypes of its new electrical wiring accessory product designs. An innovative player in the electrical engineering industry, Focus SB’s reputation as a leader in product development is set to be further enhanced by this latest important investment.
Featuring state of the art smart technology, the Form 2 Desktop SLA 3D Printer from Formlabs, purports to be the most advanced of its kind. Powered by a precision optical engine, the Form 2 is capable of producing laser sharp prints with beautiful detail. This impressive 3D desktop printer has been designed for peak performance, boasting the ability to create perfect prototypes.
This recent purchase of the Form 2 3D printer follows several substantial investments for Focus SB, including £150k in the company’s auto finishing plant, followed by a recent order in excess of £200k for a robot cell.
Actively investing in expansion of production technologies and company expertise, with a recently strengthened management team, Focus SB continues to position itself as a formidable competitor in the electrical switch-plate and component manufacturing industry. In response to growing demand for its high quality electrical accessories and the company’s ability to offer continuity of finish, Focus SB plans further game-changing investment during 2017.
Managing director, Gary Stevens comments: “This is another step in an investment plan that will position this company as a major manufacturer in the luxury electrical wiring accessory market and an eye on the bigger picture post-Brexit. These are exciting times for Focus SB as we continue to establish ourselves as a serious player in the market”.
