Luxury lighting dominates Design Shanghai
From June 4 to 7th 2025, the influential global design event Design Shanghai was held at the Shanghai World Expo Exhibition Center. This marked Focus SB China’s sixth event. Luxury lighting brands dominated the exhibition, while furniture and soft furnishing brands were scarce. The proportion of importers attending may have hit a historic low.
With over 600 brands from more than 30 countries and regions, this edition brought the world of design together under one roof, with lighting brands accounting for 50% of the participants. The theme was 'Sustainability', with most of our display constructed from eco-friendly cardboard at our 21 square metre stand, achieving a minimalist yet stylish design. Situated in a high-traffic location, the Focus SB brand attracted a professional audience of interior designers, smart technology specialists and private homeowners. Our handcrafted bespoke lighting accessories, smart home technology product options and unrivalled metal finishes attracted significant attention from visitors from Taiwan (China), South Korea, Japan, and Hong Kong (China).
The event featured three exhibition halls. Our stand was located in Hall H2, which primarily showcased materials, hardware, and bathroom brands. Hall H1 was entirely dedicated to lighting, while Hall H3 focused on new trends, including categories such as tableware, accessories, and fragrances. Aside from Focus SB, other notable industry participants included Control4 (China's general agent) and German modern building technology company Jung.
Over the past six years of participation at the event, the Focus SB brand has gained recognition and prestige among designers, solidifying our reputation as a top-tier luxury switch panel brand in the industry.
Our team extends thanks to those designers who visited us. We believe that Design Shanghai remains the only exhibition in China worth attending for Focus SB. It aligns with our tone, attracts a professional audience, and consistently meets expectations generating meaningful attention and securing effective orders.
We look forward to showcasing our exquisite pieces at Design Shanghai 2026. The event is to relocate to the Shanghai Exhibition Center in the city centre, and the event dates will shift from June to March.
