China business expansion 2026

From Downing Street to Asia, our new MD Designate, Ciaran Mitchell hits the ground running since his appointment in July, meeting with our main Chinese distributor this month, following a recent event at Number 11 hosted by the Chancellor of the Exchequer.
In a packed week of project and partner meetings, Mr Mitchell discussed the expansion of Focus SB business in China, Hong Kong and Macau, new projects, and plans for high-tech products in the pipeline for 2026.
This key trip punctuated another busy month both domestically and internationally for the MD Designate, whose full agenda has seen him implement plans to strengthen our in-house teams, broaden our product portfolio and expand key partnerships.
Thanking the Focus SB China team for its hospitality, Mr Mitchell says: “Our plans to combine high-tech with high-spec will power the future at Focus SB. Focus SB made history in our industry in 2017 when we became the first and only British and European manufacturer to gain CQC factory accreditation to supply and sell wiring accessories directly from Europe to mainland China, also gaining full CCC licence for all of our products for the Chinese marketplace. We look forward to building on our success in China as we expand the business under the leadership of Mr Mitchell, who has successfully developed new products for luxury brands in the automotive sector, such as Bentley, BMW, Lexus, Aston Martin, Porsche and McLaren.
