Quality control manager appointed, welcome Mick Hindle

Michael Hindle, Focus SB’s new quality control manager, has been appointed to head up responsibility for overall monitoring of finished electrical wiring accessories. This is to ensure that all products leaving the manufacturing facility continue to be of the high standard that customers have already come to expect from Focus SB.
The decision to expand the quality control department was made as an integral part of Focus SB’s rapid expansion programme. Growth in the company’s output, reflecting a considerable increase in supply and demand for large scale global projects, deemed it necessary to restructure and grow the management team last year, followed by substantial investment in new digital manufacturing technology.
To continue to meet the high expectations of its discerning customers, Mick’s appointment comes at a crucial juncture in Focus SB’s growth both in the UK and globally.
Family man, wildlife sanctuary volunteer and semi-professional freelance photographer, Mick is also a judo expert competing at county and national level. With a career spanning over 17 years as a supplier quality engineer and compliance manager, Mick is a well respected expert in his field. His work history charts a colourful and interesting background working for groups and organisations such as Aerospace and defence manufacturing, firearms manufacture and Deutsch UK. Whilst at HPC Plc, as part of his role for one of its contractors, Mick also worked on projects for prestigious brand Aston Martin, British manufacturer of luxury sports cars.
Mick comments: “I am delighted to be joining Focus SB at this stage in the company’s expansion programme, when expectations of quality are higher than ever, ensuring that there is a continued drive to show that Focus SB’s products are synonymous with our customers high expectations for product quality.”
With Mick complementing a strong management team, Focus SB looks set to maintain its position as a leading manufacturer in the luxury electrical wiring accessories market.
Gary Stevens, managing director, says: “We wish Mick a warm welcome to Focus SB, and look forward to continued improvement in our quality processes as we continue to grow and add exciting new products to the portfolio. Mick’s appointment is further evidence that Focus SB are serious in our quest to become the number one electrical accessory brand in the UK and overseas.”
With a sense of ‘James Bond’ surrounding this latest appointment, we think Mick may shake things up a bit, but trust he’ll remain ‘shaken, not stirred’ in true ‘007’ style!
