East Sussex Apprenticeship Graduation 2024

Huge congratulations to our SHE Technician Molly Parmar in this year’s East Sussex Apprenticeship Graduation awards. Molly not only collected her certificate for SHE Technician Level 3 (Safety, Health & Environment) but she also won the Best Progression Award in recognition of her exceptional determination and efforts in achieving her apprenticeship through challenging times.
Our Operations Support Manager, Rob Little, who was delighted to accompany Molly and her family to the Apprenticeship Graduation ceremony on Thursday 21st November at The Winter Garden in Eastbourne said: “Molly's hard work and diligence shone through”.
Mr Little commented: “I have to say what was most interesting was the broad range of apprenticeships AND age ranges. I was talking to an attendee from Sussex University and was pleased to learn they have just started to do apprenticeships including Advanced Manufacturing, and are very willing to listen to employee needs. This is great news for manufacturers in the area.”
There were only four awards for the whole evening and the competition was extremely tough. Molly's category also included a Highly Commended section.
We're over the moon that Molly’s hard work and diligence shone through and that Conservative councillor Penny di Cara, from East Sussex County Council, lead member for the economy, selected Molly for the award and was extremely complimentary of this standout candidate.
A Sussex Council of Training Providers (SCTP) spokesperson said: “Apprenticeships add real value to our communities and local economy and it was great hear so many inspiring apprenticeship success stories and to acknowledge all of the hard work of the county's apprentices, apprenticeship employers and training providers.”
Event supporters included East Sussex County Council, East Sussex College Group, National Awarding Organisation (NCFE), South East Apprenticeship Ambassador Network (SEAAN), and The Construction Industry Training Board (CITB).
Recently Molly attended the Safety, Health and Wellbeing exhibition with Rob Little.
Molly said: “I’ve had such a great time at the Safety, Health and Wellbeing exhibition in Farnborough. My manager Rob Little joined me for day one, we learnt a lot from the seminars and talking to the exhibitors.. Everyone has been extremely helpful and open to chatting all things health and safety. Focus SB thank you for helping organise the trip and supporting me along my health and safety journey.”
