New Business Development Manager Appointment
Chris Pereira is appointed Focus SB Business Development Manager, Midlands and Home Counties.
This month we extend a warm welcome to Chris Pereira who is appointed Business Development Manager covering the Midlands and Home Counties.
Chris’s career journey began with three years of study in electrical and electrotechnical engineering at college. He then worked as a teacher for students with special needs while continuing to search for an opportunity within the electrical industry, a difficult decision as he thoroughly enjoyed his time teaching.
For eight years, Chris worked as an electrician for a small, private firm that offered a diverse range of projects, from residential homes to large-scale football stadiums. This experience allowed him to build valuable electrical and customer support skills, which contributed to both his professional growth and drive for new challenges.
In March 2020, Chris was presented with a unique opportunity to join the KNX industry. This marked a significant shift in his career, as it transitioned from hands-on electrical work to a more desk-based role, requiring extensive upskilling in technical products. In his role as a Technical Support Assistant, Chris provided a wide range of support to customers, primarily integrators in the KNX industry. After nearly three years, he decided to leverage his electrical and technical expertise in a sales role, which he felt would provide him with a competitive edge in the field.
Since 2022, Chris has worked in sales and business development, focusing on both KNX and 230V systems, with a particular emphasis on KNX. His primary goal has been to deliver exceptional sales and technical support to customers while fostering strong relationships with industry professionals.
Chris says: ‘I am fortunate to be part of an industry that is continuously evolving, presenting new challenges and opportunities for growth.
‘Travelling and networking are passions of mine, and my new role has given me the privilege of doing both. I am excited to join Focus SB as part of their business development team. Focus SB is a company I’ve admired for many years, known for its high-end product range and exceptional customer support. This presents a fantastic opportunity for me to collaborate with like-minded professionals as we work together to advance and expand the company.’
He continues: ‘Having worked with companies specialising in both mechanical and intelligent accessories, I have developed a diverse skill set that I believe will add significant value to the team at Focus SB. With our combined expertise, I am confident that we will continue to grow and succeed together.’

From a young age, Chris has had a strong desire to travel and fish in different parts of the world - an ambition he still holds today and hopes to fulfil upon retirement.
